Our School Director and High School Principal, Rev. Fr. Elmer G. Dizon. Our High School Assistant Principal, Miss Maricris Aliado. Our Science Coordinator and Adviser of the SAAPSSC, Mr. Sammy S. Mallari, the Science teachers, high school teachers, parents, Augustinians, ladies and gentlemen,
It gives me great pleasure to be among you today on the occasion of the Science Month with the theme: Nurturing the Genius In Me ( I Can Make A Difference In My World ). In the past few weeks students, advisers, all of us had been busy preparing for this occasion…As they say, in this Science Month celebration, it made everyone to be involved. It made each and everyone of us to do our part and have our own share. The World Environment Day is a reminder to show our gratefulness to Mother Nature, which sustains all forms of life. This is the day to focus our thoughts and our energies to make collective efforts towards protecting the environment. This year, the World Environment Day Theme - “Biodiversity — Ecosystems Management and the Green Economy” a very appropriate theme for the Environment Day. This is an urgent appeal to each one of us to recognize the significance of the environment in our life and the role each one of us can play to conserve it.
Since Monday, the Science Department had been playing videos in order to inform each and everyone, of what's really happening in the world. If you will really think deeply, mapapaisip kayo…at mapapatanong kayo…ito ba talaga ang mundo ko? Sabi nga, I Can Make A Difference In My World…So gawin nating kakaiba ang ating mundo…gawin nating kakaiba sa nakikita natin ngayon…sabi nga ng isang video entry ng III-St.
We should be proud of our community, our school for it leads us to a life that we can be proud of… Conservation and protection of environment and love for nature have always been part and parcel of our culture.
The development without care for environment has posed threats to the very existence of life itself. Now, the realization that mere progress and economic development cannot solve all our problems. Development and environment should go hand in hand for a better future…
Each and every one of us must play a strong and active role in creating environmental awareness. I am happy to say that with the videos submitted by the students in the video ad making competition, had made them realized their role in creating awareness to fellow students as well as to the community…
I am happy to see that a number of Augustinians have participated in various activities of the Science Department. These activities will help all of you in developing a sense of environmental responsibility, which is so essential in our every day life. It is the absence of this responsibility which is causing problems on our streets, residential areas, market places and other public places. This leaves you all - responsible citizens of tomorrow, with a great burden to shoulder. But I am confident that you have the capacity not merely of shouldering this burden but also influencing people much older to you in following environmental discipline.
I wish the SAAPSSC officers, the Science Department, and the whole SAAP Community the very best in their future endeavour.
I would like to thank and congratulate all of you who have participated. We need to act now…We need YOU… for the betterment of our lives and better understanding of the delicate web of life that exists on this only planet known to sustain life.
Congratulations in advance to all winners and thank you very much to all advisers, to all teachers for the unending support. Sana this will not be observed during the Science Month only, but sa lahat ng oras…at sa lahat ng panahon….Again…thank you very much….GOD BLESS US ALL….
